Jessica Biel Hears She’s Pregnant

Jessica Biel became a mom almost one year ago when she and her husband, Justin Timberlake, welcomed their son Silas. Biel recently sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to discuss parenthood, being a celebrity under constant public scrutiny, dealing with unfounded gossip, and the opening of a her new child friendly restaurant.

DeGeneres asks Biel if she listens to her husband’s music, which she admitted she does, “probably more than I should. It’s maybe more than slightly creepy.” She also says little Silas is a big fan too, and is following in his father’s footsteps. He’s “very musical” and likes to drum, play piano, and drum with his head which obviously takes him to genius level! The drum set was a gift, Biel explains. When DeGeneres asks why she encouraged a drum set and not something a little more quiet like, say, a harmonica? Of course, she didn’t have to give Silas the drums and put them away somewhere, to which Biel responds, “parent fail number two.”

Congratulating Biel, DeGeneres says she read that Biel was pregnant and expecting another child. The audience immediately applauded the big news while Biel laughed. She immediately shot down the rumor, laughing and saying that she thought she was doing well. “I thought I was doing good with my yoga practice, I thought I was in the gym, but no, I have a gut apparently.” She continued on saying she checked in with her husband to ask “Are we? No. Ok, cool.”

Biel did have a big announcement though. She announced that she just opened a new restaurant in Los Angeles named Au Fudge (yes, named after one of her business partner’s husbands said “oh fudge” instead of the other ‘F’ word). The concept of the restaurant is brilliant. It’s a place where adults and kids can enjoy themselves while eating well and having fun. The restaurant has a full menu, full bar, and gorgeous interior. There is a creative space where you can check your child in with an Au Fudge au pair, and they can play with safe, non-toxic toys while adults enjoy a nice meal and perhaps an adult beverage.
