Mom Arrested For Taping Toddler To The Wall

An 18-year-old mother decided she wanted to get some housework done, but since she wasn’t able to do so because of her active 2-year-old toddler, she thought it would be a good idea to tape him to the wall.

As her son was trapped on the wall, whimpering behind her, the young mother decided to share her antics by taping and broadcasting the video on Facebook Live for over 15 minutes.

The woman, Shayla Rudolph, was arrested yesterday and charged by the with a third-degree felony by the Reynoldsburg Ohio police and the Franklin Country Children’s Services removed her son from the home and placed him into protective custody.

In the video taken on New Year’s Day, Rudolph can be heard saying, “You got the best mommy in the whole wide world,” as her son can be heard crying in the background to which she replies, “Don’t make me put on more tape. Now sit still. You can see the tv from right there. You’ll be alright.”

“Parents don’t need to whoop their kids,” she explains. “You can’t clean with them running around tearing up? Tape them to the wall. You can’t cook or none of that because they running around? Tape them to the wall.”

“You can see the TV from right there,” Rudolph says. “You be all right.”

After being alerted by a reporter, officials from the Franklin County Children’s Services visited Rudolph’s home. However, she was not charged at that time and her son remained in her care.

Shortly after their visit, however, she posted another video showing her son standing in a corner being punished.

“They called Children Services on me, so f— it, now he in the corner,” she told viewers, seeming to taunt Children’s Services. “Whatcha gonna do now? Call Children Services now, you can have his a–. I don’t give a f—. This time y’all can take him.”

Warning, this is very difficult to watch.
