Tom Brady Gets Emotional When Talking About His Dad, His ‘Hero’

by

Super Bowl LI is taking place this Sunday as the New England Patriots take on the Atlanta Falcons, and the media is having a field day. During a Q&A sit down with the media last night, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady got a little emotional when talking about his dad, his “hero.”

A 7-year-old boy was part of the media pool, and posed one of the most memorable questions of the evening, asking Brady, “Many people say you’re their hero, but who’s your hero?”

Brady knew his answer without giving it much thought, but when he tried to articulate his response he got choked up.

“Who’s my hero? That’s a great question. Well, I think my dad is my hero,” Brady answered, continuing, “Because he’s someone I look up to every day. And, uh …”

After a brief pause during which time Brady seemed to gain a bit of composure, he reiterated, “My dad.”

Watch the brief clip below:

Brady and his wife Gisele Bundchen have two children together, Benjamin, 7, and Vivian, 4. He also has a son from a previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan, 9-year old Jack.

It seems as though he has even more of an appreciation for all that his parents, especially his dad, did for him now that he has children of his own.
