‘It Wasn’t Me’ Holderness Family Halloween Parody
The latest video from the Holderness Family comes just in time for Halloween, and it has to do with candy and denial. Based on the 2000 hit song, ‘It Wasn’t Me’ by Shaggy, Kim seems to have a candy problem, but of course she denies it.
“Where’d the candy go?” Penn asks, followed by him finding Kim stuffing her face hidden away in the pantry, “There she is, yeah we caught her red handed sitting on the pantry floor.”
It’s a battle we know all too well. You want to get ahead of the game and buy Halloween candy in advance of the big night, but it’s just so hard having it around, calling to you, asking to be eaten, amiright?!
So this parody takes on the problem of pre-Halloween candy stealing. Once the kids return from trick or treating, that’s a whole different ballgame. Sometimes in order to stop myself from eating all of the Halloween candy prior to the big day, I’ll strategically buy candy that isn’t my favorite. But who am I kidding? It’s candy, and just knowing it’s there is the problem.
Perhaps the best line of the video just might be, “Then you start complaining that your butt is getting large, and I say no you are prefect just the way you are, but you’re on a sugar rage and tell me I’m a liar.”
And doesn’t that blue inflatable blob costume looks so comfy?
Whatever happens in your house, no judging, and Happy Halloween!
